Why this publication exists

AI has made us worse developers and taken away the fun of programming. If you feel the same, join me on the journey to make coding fun again.

If you’re wondering why I started a new publication, let me reveal what’s behind all of this.

I’m a software developer. I’ve been writing code in the past 10 years or so. I worked as a freelancer and contractor on many projects.

From the outside, you might think I’m an expert.

I think I’m the exact opposite: I haven’t learned many frameworks and libraries, and I haven’t expanded my knowledge that much. I know a couple of programming languages, but I don’t really know the fundamentals in some sense.

On top of that, AI came and “took my job” (not really, but it might very soon).

I started vibe coding, and I immediately lost the fun of coding, and discovering new tools.

So this publication is meant exactly for this: to challenge myself to learn coding and expand my knowledge.

If you’re wondering, I will use AI. It’s an amazing tool for learning and coding, but I don’t want to be left behind.

What you’ll get: all sorts of failed experiments probably, open-source contributions, honest opinions on different tools, and maybe the motivation to learn how to code.

The name of the project came after a discussion with my good friends Eddie and Sara, to whom I’m very thankful for all their support and motivation to keep pushing.

I feel like I’m a Lost Cause when it comes to programming.

If you feel the same, with all the resignation and humility, let’s fight for our cause ⚔️
